Mo-ette, there is a link to the vowel (s) that comes after. It is difficult to show the pronunciation in written form, but the debate is something like Chandon Chahna-Dohn. Although the letter n nasal.

Shan dooh pronounced with the accent (stress) on the second syllable. It's hard to explain, but nobody put "light" at the end. The "n" sound is almost inaudible ... is characterized by the nose.
